David

David Kabwa is currently a PhD Candidate in International Relations at the University of Pretoria, under the Centre For Mediation in Africa. He was the first ever African to have been elected as Prime Minister of the Commonwealth Youth Parliament that is comprised of 54 countries. He was also the inaugural Country Ambassador for South Africa to the UNITE 2030 Initiative which deals with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Moreover, he is an inaugural Member of the African Union Youth For Transitional Justice (AY4TJ) continental platform where he was certified as a Youth Expert in the African Union Transitional Justice Policy (AUTJP) by the AU Department For Political Affairs, Peace and Security.

He is also serving as a National Fundi Influencer. Elected for two consecutive terms as the Student Representative Council President of the University of Pretoria as an independent candidate where he would oversee 60 000 students across seven campuses. He was the first President to be re-elected for a second term and served for two terms on the National General Council of the South African Union of Students.
